Cold weather makes it hard to prime

I’ve received my first set of minis from someone else to paint.  They are a set of 20mm plastic moderns.  10 Delta and 2 Navy seals.  I’m a little confused about the position of one of the snipers, since he was modeled like he is sitting down with his elbows resting on his knees, I guess to steady the shot.  It almost looks like he is supposed to be sitting on a wall or something, but I’ve got no idea.

Anyways, 10 of the figs are cleaned up, based and ready for primer, but we’ve been having a string of super cold weather (all single digits) here in NH the past week, so I’ve been waiting for a day above freezing so I can prime them and the 28 hoplites I’ve got assembled and based.

I’ll get some pictures up one of these days…

What is this all about?

Welcome to Mini Painting for Free. Do you have way too many miniatures like I do? Send me one or two! I'll paint them up, photograph them, post about them and then send them back. The best part? All you have to pay is shipping to get the miniatures to me in New Hampshire, USA. I'll supply the time, paint and the return postage. Have something you want me to work on? Send me an email at and let me know.
